As part of our mission to create space for dialogue about the many social justice issues that concern our local Chicago community and beyond, Weinberg/Newton Gallery offers free educational workshops to student groups. Each workshop involves inquiry-based exploration of the exhibition currently on view at the gallery and interactive, creative response exercises. Workshops are tailor-made for each show and each group of students. We love to create lasting relationships with student groups through workshop series. We aspire to endow students with a sense of confidence to express their thoughts about social justice concerns with their voices and their artwork!

Past education program participants include youth from After School Matters, Chicago Public Schools, ChiArts, Christopher House, Franklin Fine Arts Center, Ignition Community Glass, KIPP Schools, Kuumba Lynx, Legal Prep Academy, Loyola Academy, Marwen, Noble Network of Charter Schools, YOUMedia, and many more
