Voices of Hope: How Meditation Can Help End Gang Violence in Chicago

Apr 4, 6:00PM – 8:00PM

Join us for food, drinks, music, information, and inspiration at an event for our partner, the David Lynch Foundation. DLF will present their collaboration with Pride ROC Chicago and the Passages Gang Refinement Program, through which anti-violence activists empower former gang members with transformative group work that addresses trauma via Transcendental Meditation, leadership training, and more.

At 6:30PM, Chris Busch, Regional Director of the David Lynch Foundation Chicago, and Ra Frye, the Founder of Pride ROC Chicago, will discuss their work with UPOW (Urban Prisoners of War), a hip hop group formed by Pride ROC Chicago participants.

At 7:15PM, UPOW will perform live!

This event is free and open to the public.

Guests who donate $100 or more to the David Lynch Foundation Chicago will be entered into a raffle to win a free Transcendental Meditation course! You can donate in person at the event or here.
